Meet our Valais Blacknose-inspired Sheepskin Sheep Footstool – handmade in Wales with a wonderfully soft, curly genuine sheepskin fleece, specially chosen for its similarity to the distinctive fleece of the much-loved Valais Blacknose sheep.

With its characterful dark features, natural wooden legs and luxurious fluffy coat, we’ve created this special Ewemoo to capture the charming look of the Valais Blacknose as closely as possible.

Care Instructions

Brush with care by using a metal bristle brush /Slicker brush

General care- shake your rug and brush often, this will dislodge any dust and dirt that can build up in the fibres.

Spot clean

 Unfortunately, accidents can happen, as soon as you notice a stain, we recommend you use a sheepskin detergent. By using you will be able to strike quickly before the stain sets in. Immediately blot the area with a dry cloth, if this doesn’t work take a damp cloth and some sheepskin detergent and gently rub the area in the direction of the fur. This should help remove most minor stains or marks. Do NOT use any form of household all purpose detergent at any time only the sheepskin detergent is recommended.  

Drying

Always leave your rug to dry naturally away from direct sources of heat. Do not use a hairdryer or leave near a radiator, do not leave in the sun to dry. Too much heat on a wet sheepskin can cause the underside of the leather to harden, shrink or warp. By giving love and care to your sheepskin it should stay in prime condition for years to come. Caring is sharing the love.
